Un borracho reúne un CP

Dawson Troter, fundador de los navegantes, fue Presidente del Consejo Estudiantil, capitán del equipo de baloncesto y valedictorian de clase cuando estaba en la escuela secundaria. A drunk meets a cop

Dawson Troter, founder of the Navigators, was student body president, basketball team captain, and class valedictorian when he was in high school. But then life fizzled out. He gambled, drank to excess, and caroused. He was staggering through the streets one night when a policeman stopped him, took his car keys, and asked, "Son, do you like this kind of life?" "Sir, I hate it," replied Trotman. Instead of arresting him for drunkenness, the policeman urged Dawson to change his life.

That encounter was a turning point. Dawson attended a church gathering where he was challenged to memorize ten Bible verses stressing salvation. Trotman memorized the verses, then memorized another ten the next week. Several weeks later, as he pondered the meaning of what he had learned, he quietly prayed, "Oh God, whatever it means to receive Jesus, I want to do it right now."

Trotman never got away from the power of the Word. As his knowledge of the Bible grew, he realized that a combination of prayer, worship, service, and the study of Scripture produced spiritual growth.

Cuatro personas, un piloto, profesor, un pastor y un excursionista-volaban en una avioneta cuando los motores murieron. El piloto dijo, "hay sólo tres paracaídas. Dado que se trata de mi avión, estoy tomando uno de ellos."Ponerlo en y saltó. El profesor dijo: "yo soy brillante y el mundo necesita de mí, así que estoy tomando un paracaídas," y él saltaban.

El pastor dijo entonces el excursionista, "No queremos ser egoístas, por lo tanto tomar el último paracaídas".El excursionista respondido, "todavía hay dos a la izquierda, para que podamos cada uno tener uno. La profesora saltó con mi mochila en lugar de los paracaídas!"Aunque el profesor pensó que podría aterrizar a salvo, su garantía se basa en pensamiento defectuoso.

Algunas personas tienen una garantía de salvación basada en el pensamiento defectuoso. Ellos creen que asistencia a la iglesia, bautismo o simplemente ser buenos ganarán ellos aprobación de Dios. Pero nuestro pensamiento es defectuoso si no se basa en lo que Dios dice en su palabra. Dios dice que "todos pecaron" y que somos sus enemigos. Pero a través de la muerte y resurrección de su hijo, podemos ser hechas con Dios (Romanos 3:23; 5:8-10). Por la fe en lo que Cristo ha hecho, podemos tener paz con Dios (5:1) y la garantía de la vida eterna en el cielo.

Four people-a pilot, professor, a pastor, and a hiker-were flying in a small plane when the engines died.  The pilot said, "There are only three parachutes.  Since this is my plane, I'm taking one of them."  He put it on and jumped out.  The professor said, "I'm brilliant and the world needs me, so I'm taking a parachute," and he jumped out.

Then the pastor told the hiker, "I don't want to be selfish, so you take the last parachute."  The hiker replied, "There are still two left, so we can each have one.  The professor jumped out with my backpack instead of the parachute!"  Though the professor thought he would land safely, his assurance was based on faulty thinking.

Some people have an assurance of salvation based on faulty thinking.  They believe that church attendance, baptism, or just being good will gain them approval from God.  But our thinking is faulty if it isn't based on what God says in His Word.  God says that "all have sinned" and that we are His enemies.  But through the death and resurrection of His Son, we can be made right with God (Romans 3:23; 5:8-10).  By faith in what Christ has done, we can have peace with God (5:1) and the assurance of eternal life in heaven.

Do you believe it?  Your eternity is at stake.  Don't trust faulty thinking but put your faith in Christ.  -Anne Cetas

Antisemitismo, el Islam y la Propaganda Socialista nacional

Los musulmanes no son yelling sólo "matar los judíos" como Adolph Hitler había hecho, pero también están reviviendo su propaganda. Una mujer musulmana había publicado este video de YouTube en mi Facebook. También me entristece que en lugar de exponer y resistiendo el horror de judíos odio en el corazón del Islam, los medios de comunicación occidentales ha sido intimidado en silencio, y lo hicieron igualmente bajo Hitler.

Ésta es mi respuesta a la mujer musulmana (con varias adiciones):

¿Qué piensa Dios de los judíos es mucho más importante. Sí, han rebelado contra su Dios, pero esto no le impidió amarles, ni cambiará el futuro glorioso que disfruten con él:

• Isaías 49:13-15: gritar de alegría, Oh cielos; Regocíjense, Oh tierra; irrumpió en la canción, montañas O! Para el señor consuela a su pueblo y tendrá compasión de sus más afectados. Pero Zion dijo: "el Señor me ha abandonado, el Señor me ha olvidado". ¿"Puede una madre olvidar al bebé en su pecho y no tener ninguna compasión por el niño que ella ha tenido? Aunque ella podrá olvidar, yo no te olvidaré!

• Ezequiel 36:24-31: "para que tendrá fuera de las Naciones; Yo te recabar de todos los países y traemos de vuelta en su propia tierra. Se rocíe agua limpia sobre usted, y usted será limpio; Se limpian le de todas sus impurezas y de todos tus ídolos. Yo le dará un nuevo corazón y poner un nuevo espíritu en TI; Yo le quite su corazón de piedra y te dan un corazón de carne. Y poner mi espíritu en vosotros y desplazar a seguir mis decretos y tener cuidado para mantener mis leyes. Vives en la tierra que dio a sus antepasados; va a ser mi pueblo y yo seré su Dios. Le ahorrará de toda tu inmundicia. Llamará para el grano y hacer abundante y no traerá hambre sobre vosotros. • Oseas 3:5: posteriormente los israelitas regresarán y buscar el señor su Dios y su rey David. Vendrán temblando al señor y a sus bendiciones en los últimos días.

• Zech. 12:10: "Y yo a derramar en la casa de David y los habitantes de Jerusalén un espíritu de gracia y de súplica.

• Deut. 32:43: Regocíjense, Oh Naciones, con su pueblo, para él será vengar la sangre de sus siervos; será tomar venganza sobre sus enemigos y hacer expiación por su tierra y su gente.

• Oseas 14:4-5: "será sanar su extravío y amar libremente, para mi ira ha convertido lejos de ellos. Voy a ser como el Rocío a Israel; él va creciendo como un lirio. Como un cedro del Líbano enviará a sus raíces;

• Amos 9:14-15: "aportaré atrás mi pueblo exiliado Israel; que reconstruir las ciudades en ruinas y vivir en ellas. Que plantar viñedos y beber su vino; se hacen jardines y comer sus frutos. Israel se planta en su propia tierra, nunca más a ser desarraigados de la tierra, les he dado", dice el Señor tu Dios.

• Miqueas 4:1-2: en los últimos días en la montaña del templo del Señor se establecerá como jefe entre las montañas; se planteará por encima de las colinas, y pueblos se transmita a ella. Muchas naciones se vienen y dicen, "venga, nos suben a la montaña del Señor, a la casa del Dios de Jacob. Él nos enseñará sus caminos, para que nos podemos caminar en sus caminos." La ley saldrá de Sión, la palabra del Señor de Jerusalén.

• Miqueas 7:18-20: no te quedes enojado para siempre, pero las delicias para mostrar misericordia. El hecho de que Dios vino como un judío reafirma el hecho de que su amor por su pueblo elegido. Este es también el mensaje del Nuevo Testamento:

• Romanos 11:26-29: así se guardará todo Israel, como está escrito: "el generador vendrán Zion; él convertirá humana lejos de Jacob. Y este es mi Pacto con ellos cuando quitan sus pecados. "Como el Evangelio, son enemigos de su cuenta; pero en cuanto a la elección, son amados a causa de los Patriarcas, los dones de Dios y su llamado son irrevocables.

Por lo tanto, estoy preocupado por usted y también para el Islam que odia a los judíos. ¡ Usted no ciegos a propósito de Dios con respecto a aquellos que siguen en su odio a Israel:

• Joel 3:19-21: "pero Egipto será desolada, residuos un desierto de Edom, porque de hecho al pueblo de Judá, en cuyas tierras que derramar sangre inocente de la violencia. Judá será habitada para siempre y Jerusalén a través de todas las generaciones. Su bloodguilt, que no he perdonado, tendrá perdón."

Puede continuar en odio o confesar a Alá, quien escribió la Biblia, de acuerdo con el Corán. Ruego que arrepentirse y buscar la paz que es agradable a nuestro Dios. Él promete que si usted busca, usted encontrará:

Muslims are not only yelling “kill the Jews” as Adolph Hitler had done, but they are also reviving his propaganda. One Muslim woman posted this YouTube video on my Facebook. It amazes me that anyone could take this video seriously, but tragically many do. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQwuaXo5T-4

It also saddens me that instead of exposing and resisting the horror of Jewish-hatred at the core of Islam, the Western media has been bullied into silence – and they did likewise under Hitler.

The following is my response to the Muslim woman (with several additions):

What God thinks of the Jews is far more important. Yes, they have rebelled against their God, but this hasn’t prevented Him from loving them, nor will it change the glorious future that they will enjoy with Him:

• Isaiah 49:13-15: Shout for joy, O heavens; rejoice, O earth; burst into song, O mountains!    For the Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones. But Zion said, "The Lord has forsaken me, the Lord has forgotten me." "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!

• Ezekiel 36:24-31: "For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land. I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. You will live in the land I gave your forefathers; you will be my people, and I will be your God. I will save you from all your uncleanness. I will call for the grain and make it plentiful and will not bring famine upon you. I will increase the fruit of the trees and the crops of the field, so that you will no longer suffer disgrace among the nations because of famine. Then you will remember your evil ways and wicked deeds, and you will loathe yourselves for your sins and detestable practices.”

• Isaiah 44:21-22: "Remember these things, O Jacob, for you are my servant, O Israel. I have made you, you are my servant; O Israel, I will not forget you. I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you."

• Jeremiah 33:6-8: "I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security. I will bring Judah and Israel back from captivity and will rebuild them as they were before. I will cleanse them from all the sin they have committed against me and will forgive all their sins of rebellion against me.”

• Hosea 3:5:  Afterward the Israelites will return and seek the Lord their God and David their king. They will come trembling to the Lord and to his blessings in the last days.

• Zech. 12:10: "And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication.”

• Deut. 32:43:  Rejoice, O nations, with his people, for he will avenge the blood of his servants; he will take vengeance on his enemies and make atonement for his land and people.

• Hosea 14:4-5: "I will heal their waywardness and love them freely, for my anger has turned away from them. I will be like the dew to Israel; he will blossom like a lily. Like a cedar of Lebanon he will send down his roots;

• Amos 9:14-15: “I will bring back my exiled people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit. I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted        from the land I have given them," says the Lord your God.

• Micah 4:1-2: In the last days the mountain of the Lord's temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and peoples will stream to it. Many nations will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths."    The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

• Micah 7:18-20: You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot  and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea. You will be true to Jacob, and show mercy to Abraham, as you pledged on oath to our fathers in days long ago.

• Zeph. 3:15-20: The Lord has taken away your punishment, he has turned back your enemy. The Lord, the King of Israel, is with you; never again will you fear any harm. At that time I will deal with all who oppressed you…At that time I will gather you; at that time I will bring you home. I will give you honor and praise among all the peoples of the earth when I restore your fortunes before your very eyes," says the Lord.

   

The very fact that God came as a Jew reaffirms the fact that of His love for His chosen people. This is also the message of the New Testament:

• Romans 11:26-29:  And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob. And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins.  “As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies on your account; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, for God's gifts and his call are irrevocable.

I am therefore concerned for you and also for Islam which hates the Jews. You mustn’t blind yourself to God’s purpose regarding those who continue in their hatred to Israel:

• Isaiah 41:11: "All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish.

• Isaiah 51:21-23 This is what your Sovereign Lord says, your God, who defends his people: "See, I have taken out of your hand the cup that made you stagger; from that cup, the goblet of my wrath, you will never drink again. I will put it into the hands of your tormentors, who said to you, 'Fall prostrate that we may walk over you.' And you made your back like the ground, like a street to be walked over."

• Joel 3:19-21: “But Egypt will be desolate, Edom a desert waste, because of violence done to the people of Judah, in whose land they shed innocent blood. Judah will be inhabited forever and Jerusalem through all generations. Their bloodguilt, which I have not pardoned, I will pardon."

You can either continue in hatred or confess it to Allah, the One who wrote the Bible, according to your Koran. I pray that you will repent and seek peace which is pleasing to our God. He promises that if you seek, you will find:

·        "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8)

La palabra perfecta

En un mundo de cambio de lealtades, contras artero e ideas siempre en evolución, necesitamos saber dónde anclar nuestras almas. No somos lo suficientemente diligentes para analizar cada falsificación que viene nuestro camino, ni somos lo suficientemente perspicaz para exponer cada filosofía falsa. Racionalismo humano no está equipado para establecer la verdad eterna. Es por eso que necesitamos ayuda. Sólo Dios nos pueden apuntar en la dirección correcta.

Es un consuelo cuando estamos buscando absolutos realmente encontrarlos. De acuerdo con este refrán, esa verdad absoluta será escudo nosotros. ¿Qué de? Cada engaño sutil, cada palabra malintencionado, cada error doctrinal y cada falso mesías. Mucho para nuestra consternación, el mundo está lleno de promesas vacías. Si nos queda a nosotros mismos a les figura todo, vamos a pasar nuestras vidas lanzados alrededor en tumultuosas olas de competencia "verdades". Por el momento que obtenemos comprensión por nuestros propios esfuerzos, es demasiado tarde para resolver sobre la base de la sabiduría de Dios. En definitiva, tenemos que estar anclado en la revelación.

¿Cómo lo hacemos? Una hora diaria en la palabra de Dios es un buen primer paso. Funciona de verdad en nuestras mentes sobre una base regular. ¿Pero es que realmente son suficientes?

Aquí es un buen patrón a seguir: en primer lugar, pido a Dios todos los días para convencer a tu corazón de su verdad y darle discernimiento de mentiras. En segundo lugar, encontrar al menos un versículo a la semana para memorizar. Masticar sobre ella, dejar hundir, mirar de cada angel y topar con formas específicas para aplicarlo. En tercer lugar, no sólo estudiar la palabra de Dios. Caer en amor con él. Consumen vorazmente como su comida favorita. Dios tiene una manera de trabajar en nuestros corazones las cosas que amamos. Si amamos la palabra impecable, la palabra impecable detendré dentro de nosotros.
