LOSING WEIGHT

Losing Weight

Alexander the Great was a great warrior.
Along with his army advancing on to Persia
it seemed at one point they might be defeated.
They started to take too much plunder and it
started to affect their ability to fight effectively.
They were weighed down.  When they got rid of
their plunder, they were back on the right track
and fought effectively.

We as Christians are in Christ’s army.  We must
get rid of anything that hinders us from defeating
our spiritual enemy.  In order to be effective in
our battle against our spiritual enemy, we have to
put on the whole armor of God, (Ephesians 6:11-17).

Christians can also be seen as runners.  If we are to
win a race we have to take off any access weight
that would slow us down or rob us of our strength
and endurance to complete the race, (Hebrews 12:1).

Worldly weight might be holding you back if your
life as a Christian seems to be a drag.
